Meet Ariel
Astrologer & Yin Yoga Teacher
I combine astrology with yin yoga to create a practice that connects the spiritual and physical experience.
Greetings!
I’m Ariel. The Creative Soul Behind Enchanted Astrology.
I read a book series that gifted me a beautiful perspective of life. It is called The Secrets of The Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott. And in this series, each person’s magic carries a unique scent. One person’s magic smells like Vanilla, one smells like Oranges, another smells like Mint, and one even smells like Sulphur (ew)!

What was so beautiful about this, was that each person got to choose their own magical scent.
It never fails to amaze me at how everything we encounter in life holds grains of truth so deep we can easily miss them. In the book, the characters can recognize each other through their signature scent. It’s how each person is distinguished, experienced, and known. The scent leaves a trail of who you are and where you’ve been.
It was so exciting to think that we could choose our own scent, I immediately started imagining what scent I would choose for my own magic. My mind went to so many possibilities, I love the scent of lilac, vanilla, grapefruit, and jasmine. But there’s also the smell of a wood-burning stove on a cold day. Then we have rain, cedar, cinnamon, and that newborn puppy smell….hmmmm. So many scents to choose from, the list is endless. Just imagine for a moment, what scent would you choose?
What I noticed during this thought experiment, was that I wouldn’t know what these scents smell like, if I hadn’t experienced them for myself. And now that i’ve experienced the smell of lilac and vanilla, I would need to experience them together to understand what that blend would smell like. Even though I have experienced each individually, I couldn’t bring to mind what they would smell like together, until I create that experience.
This made me think of our soul. If we are here to create our own unique signature, how we recognize and know each other in soul, we would need to experience that in order to decide if it is who we choose to be. I would need to try vanilla and lilac together, and also lilac and grapefruit, and maybe even mix in a dash of cinnamon just for fun, in order to know what I want my signature scent to be. And some scents are so unique, because they are a very specific blend of things you would never think to pair together, but they compliment each other in a beautiful way. It seems the soul would have to explore a mix of experiences, to know how different qualities blend together to create a unique expression.
Just as we learn what our signature scent is by experiencing different combinations of fragrance, we learn who we are by experiencing different combinations of life’s qualities. Astrology, to me, is the language of those qualities. We have 12 signs in the zodiac, all with a distinct expression. And each person is exploring their unique blend of these 12 signs. We take a cup of Aquarius, half a cup of Cancer, a dash of Gemini, and a pinch of Capricorn. And this blend is experienced, through life, through others, through self. The endless experiences and expressions they create through the alchemy between them. We are like alchemists, blending together proportions and ratios to create our perfect recipe. And every experience informs this recipe. A little too much of this, not enough of that, keep adjusting and moving toward what blend brings us joy.
Just like smelling a variety of candles, you don’t buy the candle you don’t like the smell of and force yourself to smell it everyday because it’s “the right candle”. You buy the candle that smells the best to you, that makes you smile, lights you up, brings you joy. And you light that candle, and visitors get to smell that when they enter your home, remembering you through that scent.
Your joy is the guide, because you are creating you. Astrology is the recipe you chose to experience in this life as you create the signature of you.

My path to this work
Once Upon a Time…
Before astrology became my full-time focus, I spent fifteen years working in Human Resources. Much of that time was spent sitting with people as they navigated challenges, difficult decisions, changing circumstances, and questions about who they were within the systems they inhabited.
Over time, I noticed a pattern.
Many thoughtful, capable people believed something was wrong with them when they struggled to thrive within structures that didn’t match their design.
I recognized this same tension within myself — and the more I witnessed it, the more I questioned the stories we are taught about success, fulfillment, and the nature of life itself.
Astrology had already been part of my life for more than two decades, while yoga had been a steady practice for over fifteen years. Together, they offered a perspective that was very different from the worldview I had inherited. Most of us are taught that life is random — that events happen without any larger pattern beyond what we can immediately see. Astrology invited me to consider something else: that there is an underlying structure to reality, and that our lives unfold within it.
From this perspective, astrology is not just about prediction or fixed outcomes. It is a language that reveals recurring patterns, cycles, themes, and timing within human experience. It offers a way of viewing our lives within a broader context and exploring the unique architecture of our individual paths.
When I began to see life through this lens, many experiences that once felt confusing or disconnected started to fit within a larger picture. It changed the way I related to myself, as well as the world around me. In 2024, I completed my Yin Yoga certification and stepped away from the corporate world to fully devote myself to Enchanted Astrology. My work brings together all the facets of my experiences and perspectives. Whether through chart consultations, yin yoga, or my weekly podcast, my intention is to help people explore their lives with greater curiosity, grace, and compassion for the patterns that have shaped their story.
